Most of the voltage difference between the output of the OPA1671IDB Amplifier IC and the negative supply appears across the compensation capacitor. If there is a sudden change in the negative supply voltage, the integrator OPA1671IDB Amplifier IC will force the output to follow. When the entire OPA1671IDB Amplifier IC is in a closed-loop configuration, the error signal generated at its input will be deeply restored to the output, but the degree of recovery is limited by the slew rate of the amplifier.

As a result, such OPA1671IDB Amplifier ICs may have excellent low-frequency power-supply rejection, but negative-supply rejection is quite limited. Since it is the feedback signal at the process input that causes the output to be restored, it is the feedback signal at the process input that restores the frequency output. Therefore, for signals with frequencies exceeding the closed-loop bandwidth, the negative power supply rejection ratio will approach zero. That is: high-speed high-level circuits can "communicate" with low-level circuits through the common impedance of the negative supply line.

The problem with this type of OPA1671IDB Amplifier IC is related to the negative supply terminal. Although the positive power supply rejection ratio may also decrease with increasing frequency, the effect is to a lesser extent. In general, small transients on the positive supply will only slightly affect the signal output output. The difference between these sensitivities can cause significant asymmetry in the transient response of the OPA1671IDB Amplifier IC. If the purpose of driving the OPA1671IDB Amplifier IC is to generate a positive voltage swing within its rated load range, the OPA1671IDB Amplifier IC will draw current pulses from the positive supply.
