SN65HVS881 is an eight channel digital input sequencer suitable for high channel density digital input modules in industrial automation. This device, when used in conjunction with a current isolator, can complete the interface connection between the high-voltage signal on the field side and the low-voltage signal on the controller side. The input signal undergoes current limiting processing and is then verified by an internal debounce filter. By adding a small number of external components, the input switch characteristics can be configured according to the IEC61131-2 standard for type 1, type 2, and type 3 sensor switches. After applying the load and clock signal, the input data is parallel latched into the shift register and then output in series. By connecting the serial output of the previous device to the serial input of the subsequent device, multiple devices can be cascaded to design a high channel input module. Multiple devices can be cascaded through a single serial port, reducing the required isolation channels and controller inputs. The input status can be visually displayed through constant current LED output. The input current limit is set by a single external precision resistor. The integrated voltage regulator provides a 5V output to power the low-power isolator. The on-chip temperature sensor provides diagnostic information for normal shutdown and system security protection. Internal odd parity ensures reliable transmission of serial data to the system controller. SN65HVS881 adopts a 28 pin PWP PowerPAD package, with high heat dissipation efficiency. The operating temperature range of this device is -40 ℃ to 125 ℃.
